2020! What a weird year, for the whole damn world. When it comes to drawing and experimenting in my sketchbook, it was a year of real growth for me. I finally started treating my sketchbook as a place to experiment, which feels like BIG progress after years of telling myself there are no mistakes in a sketchbook, but then just continuing to treat them like they are super precious and being hard on myself when I “mess up” a page (I know). I filled about 8 sketchbooks over the course of the year and I was all over the place in terms of content, themes, and media. It was perfect.
